Its first part deals with generic questions as well as contextual factors pertaining to the understanding of Hesiodic poetry at large; in the second part the focus is on the best preserved fragmentary Hesiodic work, the Catalogue of Women, while the third part is devoted to the corpus' afterlife in Rome and Byzantium.
