Theoretical Linguistics in the Pre-University Classroom showcases the pedagogical potential of theoretical linguistics in remaking encounters with the workings of language in pre-university classrooms. Theoretical linguistics reorients the pursuit of linguistic understanding by moving beyond instrumental skills acquisition towards intellectual discovery.
