A new bookshop openend its doors in The Hague in the spring of 2015: Douwes, at the Herengracht 60.
Bookshop Douwes is a classical bookstore. It offers a great diversity of titles in the field of Literature, History, Politics, Philosophy, Psychology, Natural Sciences and much more. These are presented in the Dutch as well as English, German and French language.
In February 2016 Douwes started The New Legal Bookshop (in Dutch: De Nieuwe Juridische Boekhandel or DNJB) on the first floor, filling a vacuum in the city of peace and justice. Besides all important Dutch legal books DNJB offers a wide range of English and French books on International Law: Criminal Law (e.g. ICC and ICTY), Law of War, Humanitarian Law, Human Rights, Public Law, Maritime and Air Law, Commercial Law, International Private Law and Arbitration. Last but not least there is literature on European Law.
