Six months after the Union of our world and the Underworld, Bruges thrums with life and magic. But beneath the surface, something dark is brewing. When Lina and Finn receive cacao beans reeking of pure terror, they uncover the beginning of a sinister plot. The old enemy has returned in a new body, more powerful than ever. Simon, Kaylee and Gabi infiltrate a Swiss resort, only to walk straight into a deadly trap. When Ingrid vanishes and a rival chocolatier appears, Lina realizes the enemy is everywhere – perhaps even within their circle. With the clock ticking mercilessly, the team must perform a dangerous Maya ritual that will not only bind them to each other, but to the dreams of all Europe. A desperate final gambit where no one will emerge unchanged. In the battle for the soul of a continent, what you’re willing to sacrifice matters more than what you’re willing to take.
