Bandita tells the story of why feminist scholarship continues to be sidelined within political theory, focusing on influential feminist political theorist Iris Marion Young. This book shows feminist scholars may be included in academia, but at the cost of ignoring or downplaying their feminism; reveals how longstanding habits of reading, writing, and citation lead scholars to dismiss, ignore, or misread feminist work; and draws on Young's account of how we make structural change to suggest practical ways that academics can alter those habits and more fully engage with feminist work.
